Terms of use
The rules for using Land and Law.
Last updated 18 October 2026
These terms govern your use of Land and Law (the “site”), published by LawyerDesk Advocacy Pvt Ltd, a company incorporated in India with its office in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh (“we”, “us”). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
General information, not advice
The site gives general information about Indian property law and practice. It is not legal, tax or financial advice, and reading it does not make us your lawyers. Please read the disclaimer and the editorial policy, which form part of these terms.
Using the site
You may read, share links to, and quote short extracts of our pages for personal or newsroom use, with a clear credit and a link back. You agree not to:
- copy, scrape or republish whole pages or large parts of the site, or use it to train AI models, without our written permission;
- send automated or excessive requests, probe or disrupt the site, or try to get around its security or rate limits;
- submit unlawful, false or abusive content through any form, or sign someone else up to the newsletter;
- use the site to give your own advice a false appearance of coming from us.
Our content and yours
The text, design, illustrations, logos and data compilation on the site belong to LawyerDesk Advocacy Pvt Ltd or its licensors and are protected by copyright and trade mark law. Pages that summarise another publisher’s report link to the original, which belongs to that publisher. Illustrations we label as AI-generated do not show real people or places. Names and marks of other organisations belong to their owners.
If you send us a message or correction, you allow us to use it to improve the site, without owing you anything. You keep ownership of it.
Tools and AI answers
Calculators, checklists and Ask Land and Law give indicative results from the data you enter and from published rules. They can be wrong or out of date. Check the official portal and a qualified lawyer before you rely on any result for a purchase, sale, registration or filing.
Links to other sites
We link to government portals, courts and publishers. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. Links, including to LegiScore title reports, are not an endorsement of a particular person or property.
Advertising and sponsored links
Where a link or placement is paid for or promotes a LawyerDesk product such as LegiScore, we mark it, for example with a sponsored link attribute or a “publication” credit. Advertisers have no say over what we write.
Corrections and takedown
If you think something is wrong, or you hold the rights to material we have used, write to editor@landandlaw.in. We review each request and act within 48 hours where a correction or removal is justified.
Availability and liability
We run the site on an “as is” and “as available” basis and may change, pause or remove any part of it without notice. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss that arises from your reliance on the site or from its being unavailable, nor for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about them or the site.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. Continued use after a change means you accept it. Questions: editor@landandlaw.in.
